Jim focuses on recruiting Accounting and Finance candidates by exceeding customer expectations through finding flexible recruiting solutions to include retained, contingent and contract options.
Jim joined the Lucas Group over nine years ago as a Staff Recruiter and ultimately was promoted to Executive Senior Partner. He has successfully recruited and placed mid to upper level professionals within the Human Resources disciplines and become one of the leaders in cross-selling between divisions. His established track record with companies such as AIG, Delta Airlines, Regions Bank, Frito-Lay and Sara Lee will allow him to easily lead the Accounting and Finance division in both the permanent and contract niches.

Prior to joining Lucas Group Financial Search, Ray used his background to work in a variety of accounting functions in several major Houston area companies.

Managing PartnerLori Layton is the Managing Partner for Accounting & Finance in Lucas Group's Las Vegas office. Lori is a 10 year veteran of the recruiting industry and she brings polish, intensity and a relentless pursuit of achievement to the Lucas Group. Her branch works across all facets of accounting and finance for both permanent and contract positions.
Prior to joining the Lucas Group, Lori was a Branch Manager for Ajilon Finance in Las Vegas, NV and Ablest Staffing Services in Orlando, FL where she utilized her strengths developing new business and continuing to build current client relationships. She has a strong record increasing branch profits while maintaining low turnover for both the permanent and contract operations of accounting and finance. Her experiences hiring, mentoring and training winning teams easily allows her to lead our Las Vegas team. Lori received her major in Communication Arts from Georgetown College and Gardner-Webb University.
Stacy Lentz,

Her experience working in the financial sector creates a strong synergy between her team of seasoned professionals and their clients. Curt enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1998, serving for 4 years, leaving honorability as a Sergeant. After receiving a Bachelors Degree from the University of Houston, he began his successful recruiting career with Lucas Group as a staff recruiter getting promoted through the ranks. Curt consistently exceeded his goals making the “Presidents Club” year to year. Most recently, Curt was promoted to Managing Partner for the Phoenix office.

Carl White,

Carl, a former US Naval Officer and graduate of Towson University, joined the Military Transition Division of Lucas Group over eight years ago as a Staff Recruiter and rose rapidly through the ranks to Executive Senior Partner. He has successfully recruited and placed mid to upper level professionals within Engineering, Operations, Sales, Accounting and Finance. His established track record with companies such as Raytheon, ExxonMobil, Alliant Energy, Textron Systems and The Home Depot will provide a strong base as he leads the Washington, DC Accounting & Finance team.
Don Wylie,

Don has an extensive management background in the staffing and recruiting industry, with more than six years of experience recruiting accounting and finance professionals. Prior to Lucas Group, he worked for ProStaff Finance & Accounting as Managing Director, where he managed the operations, growth and hiring for his division.
Cindy Ewers,
Managing Partner, OperationsCindy Ewers is Search Managing Partner in Lucas Group's Houston office. She personally specializes in Construction and Development searches. She works with companies to place top-quality candidates in various positions, including superintendents, project managers, preconstruction and estimating, VP of operations and more.
With more than seven years in the construction and recruiting industries, Cindy is well-positioned to build strong relationships with clients and candidates.
Prior to joining Lucas Group, Cindy was VP of Operations for Pro Concept Management, where she managed business development initiatives, personnel and properties, corporate policies and procedures and more. With 15 years of property management experience, progressing from accounting to VP and overseeing more than $100 million in property values, Cindy truly understands the business.
Katherine Franklin,
Managing Partner, OperationsKathy Franklin is a Managing Partner for Lucas Group's Aerospace and Defense group, placing senior engineers to executive management positions. She has built an eleven year record of overseeing the successful placement of project management of high profile clients, as well as running a full circle desk within the Aerospace & Defense industry. Kathy is based in Tampa, FL and comes from Hudson Global Resources, formerly known as TMP Worldwide Resourcing Division.
Kathy has been instrumental in starting up divisions and contributing top sales, recruitment, management responsibilities and overall success with prior employers. Managing PartnerScott Higby is a Managing Partner for Lucas Group's Search Division in Dallas, TX. Scott has 30 years in the search industry and specializes in recruiting Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Electronics and Supply Chain candidates for small to Fortune 500 firms.
After graduating from Springfield College, Scott started as a trainee learning the recruiting business and spent the next 28 years with the same firm. He brings years of experience and leadership to the Dallas branch. He has survived several tough economic times and has maintained long term relationships with his clients. He has worked in many industries including oil & gas, consumer products, heavy manufacturing, to name a few. His extensive knowledge and experience enables him to save his clients time and money.
Devin Keane,

His vision, leadership and emphasis on teamwork have driven his teams to rise to the top, providing excellent customer service to clients and candidates while increasing sales and reach. His current team in Chicago focuses on Human Resources, Technology, Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Alternative Energy.

Prior to joining Lucas Group, Tony was President of TSC Partners and Anthony Townsend & Co. (Irvine CA), west coast boutique executive search firms; Senior Manager of Hipps Waters Inc. (Stamford Conn.), an east coast regional executive search firm. He also worked for PepsiCo. Inc. (Purchase NY), holding various positions in Corporate Audit, Finance and Strategic Planning.
Tony is a CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) and a member of the National Association of Personnel Consultants. Tony graduated from CCNY (Herbert H Lehman College) with a B.S. in Accounting.

Jeffrey is a licensed attorney-member of the State Bar of California, having practiced law in San Diego, California in the areas of insurance bad faith, personal injury and class actions. He received his B.S. in Marketing from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and his J.D., cum laude, from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California . There, he was an Editor on Law Review, President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the recipient of several Academic Achievement Awards. Steven Lynch,
Managing Partner, LegalAs Managing Partner in the Atlanta, GA office, Steven oversees a branch of recruiters, as well as local and national client management. His main concentration continues to focus solely on the placement of experienced attorneys of all levels with firms, corporations and non-profits across the country.
Mr. Lynch has over ten years of experience working in and servicing the legal industry, most recently working as a Senior Recruiter for Hughes Consultants and prior to that working as a Legal Search Consultant with Cambridge Partners. His career began in Atlanta with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) where he rose to the level of Vice President of Business Development and Director of the AAA’s New Orleans Regional Office.
Sherry Schneider,
Managing Partner, LegalSherry Schneider is the Managing Partner of Lucas Group Legal division, South Florida.
Sherry most recently served as Managing Director for American Legal Search. She is a great recruiter because her diverse background allows her to relate to a variety of clients and candidates. Sherry has practiced general law; headed up a 6 branch Title Company; developed, owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast in New Orleans; and has run for political office. This background helps her hone in on what is really important to her candidates and their needs so that she can match them with the appropriate position and company.
Sherry will concentrate her efforts on not only recruiting associates, partners and in-house attorneys, but also on growing the Lucas Group brand throughout the state of Florida.
Sherry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Tulane University, and received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law.
Merle Vaughn,
Managing Partner, LegalMerle Vaughn is the Managing Partner of Lucas Group Legal Division, Los Angeles.
Merle most recently served as Placement Director for Kelly Law Registry and as a Legal Recruiter for Garb Jaffe & Associates placing attorneys laterally within law firms and corporations. Prior to becoming a legal recruiter she practiced corporate law with Cooley Godward LLC and then moved in-house to WOC Products, Inc. as its General Counsel. Merle was the top sales person in the country for Texas Instruments and a member of the “5 Million Dollar Club”, was awarded “Minority Entrepreneur of the Year” by Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordon, is a Past Chair of Los Angeles Mayor’s Minority Business Opportunity Committee, and was on the Contracts Sub-Committee.
She also participates in the Black Women Lawyers Association, and serves on the Board of Harvard Westlake’s Parent Association.
Merle will focus her attention at Lucas Group on placing lateral attorneys including associates, partners, in-house counsel and General Counsel in mid-large law firms and corporations.
Merle received a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Southern California (USC ) and her JD at University of California – Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. While at Boalt, she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Harry Pregerson, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Lee Cohen,
Managing Partner, MilitaryLee Cohen is Managing Partner of Lucas Group's Military Transition office in Irvine. Lee works with former military members, especially Junior Military Officers, helping them find civilian careers that match their background and experience. He works with companies around the nation to fill positions in management, sales, engineering and more.
Lee has more than 17 years of experience in recruiting former military. His recruiting experience and military background is what positions him well to find the right candidate for the job and the right career for the candidate. Lee was an Officer in the U.S. Navy and worked with nuclear submarines. He managed a nuclear power plant and supervised several technicians.
Paul Fierszt,
Managing Partner, MilitaryPaul Fierszt is Managing Partner of Lucas Group's Military Transition office in Washington, D.C. A proven veteran, Paul has risen through the ranks quickly at Lucas Group during his 16 plus years. Paul specializes in placing men and women with military experience into manufacturing, engineering, field service, operations and sales positions. With a strong commitment to ethics and long-term relationships, Paul has established himself as a respected partner in the eyes of his clients and candidates.
Prior to joining Lucas Group, Paul spent five years as an Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving as an Operations Officer and on the District Staff in Boston. Paul graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a degree in Mathematics. While at the Coast Guard Academy, he earned varsity letters for baseball and yacht racing teams.

As a former Captain in the U.S. Army, Jim has the military background and understanding that positions him well to know what both his clients and candidates are seeking.
Jim graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He also received his MBA from Georgia State University.

Richard's team of recruiters consists of more than 40 years of recruiting experience assisting all 5 branches of the military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. Specializing in placing candidates with technical backgrounds like Electronics, Electricians, Maintenance, Communications, Special Operations, RANGER, SF and Combat Arms backgrounds.
Prior to joining Lucas Group Richard worked as a Merchant Marine officer shipping cargo world wide. He currently holds a Second Mates License unlimited tonnage. He is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy 1992.
