Lucas Group Names Charles Herman Managing Partner
Will lead Chicago IT Practice Group

Lucas Group, North America’s premier executive search firm, announced today that Charles Herman is the new Managing Partner for the Chicago Information Technology Practice Group. He is one of four new Managing Partners recently promoted by Lucas Group. Herman, who joined the firm in July 2010, focuses on recruiting mid to executive level professionals in IT management and operations, custom and packaged applications, and systems infrastructure.
“Charles understands his clients’ needs extremely well and is amazingly adept at finding the best IT talent to meet and exceed those needs,” said Jim Thompson, General Manager of Lucas Group’s Information Technology Practice Group. “The IT sector is actively seeking highly skilled people with both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. Herman has worked in the Chicago-area technology industry for more than a decade. He came to Lucas Group from Gregory Laka & Company, where he served as a Senior Client Consultant. Prior to that, Herman was Managing Partner for Marketing and Entertainment with Visualize Chicago, a start-up company that created audio and visual content for leaders in nightlife entertainment.
“He has a record of progressive success throughout the IT industry ,” said Thompson, “and he understands both technology and the Chicago-area marketplace very well. He’s also adept at building effective recruiting teams to achieve impressive results for both clients and candidates. Within the last year at Lucas Group Herman has received two notable awards—Cross Seller of the Year, awarded to the Associate who best personifies cross-industry recruiting; and the President’s Club for outstanding achievement in surpassing sales goals. He is a 2001 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Eastern Michigan University.
