For Carolyn Aberman, there is nothing more satisfying than finding a great match between an attorney and a law firm or organization. Realizing the life-changing role she plays on all sides motivates her to take the recruiting process seriously from start to finish. With a natural desire for and love of helping others, Carolyn goes the extra mile to ensure she finds ideal talent to meet her clients’ legal staffing needs.
Carolyn joined Lucas Group in 2017 as a Managing Partner in the Legal practice group. In her role, she works with high-level legal talent to place them in a wide range of legal positions within law firms of any size as well in publicly- or privately-held corporations. Having worked in public interest as well as at law firms and in-house, Carolyn is able to offer her candidates and clients unique insight to help make matches that lead to long-term success. Believing that everyone is best served by taking extra time on the front end, she drills down to the crux of what makes people tick to help guarantee great results on the back end.
Prior to recruiting, Carolyn spent 14 years as a practicing attorney for both small and large firms as well as in-house counsel for a publicly-traded global company with sales of more than $4.1 billion. She transitioned to recruiting in 2011, and since that time has worked with companies and law firms to place paralegals and attorneys in associate, partner and in-house counsel positions.
Away from the office, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family including her attorney husband, her three children and two mini Australian Shepherds. She is also co-founder of Chicago School GPS, a company that works with families living in Chicago who need guidance in getting a great education within the city limits. Carolyn holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
