With more than two decades of military experience as well as a successful career in sales, Jeffrey Cook understands and can identify with military candidates seeking jobs in the civilian sector. He diligently works each day to pair them with ideal positions while helping his clients fill hiring gaps with transcendent military talent.
Jeff joined the Marine Corps in 1987, one year out of high school. After being deployed to the Gulf War at a young age, he decided he wanted to make a career out of his time in the military. Throughout the next 22 years of both active and reserve duty, Jeff rose the ranks to E7 and led a platoon of recon Marines during Iraqi Freedom as the Platoon Sergeant, bringing everyone home safely to their families.
Once in the civilian sector, Jeff spent 10 years with Grainger in B2B sales. His experience in the military together with a post-military sales career allow him to relate to his candidates on a deeper level and help them to make positive, life-changing decisions. Jeff came to Lucas Group in 2018 as an Executive Search Consultant. He works with leading employers and top military candidates throughout the Dallas area to form mutually-beneficial matches. With a genuine desire to see his candidates and clients succeed, Jeff focuses on placing the right individuals in the right positions, forming strategic, long-term partnerships.
Jeff spends his free time camping, woodworking and being with his wife and two sons. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He also volunteers with Wounded Warriors.
