A connector of both dots and people, Jennifer Finley has a passion for forming relationships with others in order to meet a common goal. Her work in the professional ministry for more than 18 years combined with her staffing background have provided her with the experience and a skill set that are valuable in settings where real relationships matter.
Jennifer came to Lucas Group in 2016 as a Senior Executive Search Consultant in the Sales & Marketing practice group. She specializes in sourcing leading sales and marketing talent primarily in industrial positions (industrial components, bearings, gearboxes and power transmissions) for mid-tier to Fortune 500 corporations throughout the U.S. Not interested in only transactional connections, Jennifer thrives in deeper, more meaningful relationships, teams and partnerships. She values building and sustaining long-term relationships built on mutual respect and rooted in trust and honesty. This character trait allows Jennifer to make long-term successful placements that yield lasting connections.
Prior to recruiting, Jennifer spent 18 years as a church professional where one of her responsibilities was to meet with visitors of the church. Much like recruiting, she was charged with getting to understand what they were looking for and then engage them in a place that fit their interests and needs. Willing to take risks and learn new things, Jennifer made a mid-life career change and transitioned to staffing. She spent two years in Business Development with Carlton Staffing, where she exceeded her first year sales goal by 46%. Jennifer’s personality, together with her zest for relationship-building, lay a solid foundation for a successful career in executive recruiting.
Jennifer spends her free time volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo as well as SCUBA diving, which she became certified in at the age of 45. She holds a B.A. in Communications: Public Speaking with a Minor in Public Relations from the University of North Texas.
