Jess Lalka is no stranger to Lucas Group. She joined the firm in June of 2013 and spent the next five years assisting startups to Fortune 500 clients find transcendent, executive, accounting and finance talent. During her tenure, she was promoted twice in three-and-a-half years as well as made President’s Club and sales incentive trip award two years in a row for exceeding revenue goals.
In 2018, Jess transitioned to a people development role with a CPA firm. Reporting to the CEO, she served on the executive team and led the human resources, recruiting, training and development for the firm. Her experience working with accountants on the internal HR side of recruiting gives her a unique perspective that she brought back to her clients and candidates at Lucas Group.
Jess rejoined Lucas Group in 2019 as Managing Partner of the Accounting & Finance branch in Denver. In her role, she leads an impeccable, growing team of recruiters while strategically matching top-tier talent with high-caliber employers throughout the area. Her mantra to “do the right thing when no one is looking,” ensures she acts with honesty and integrity, offering her clients and candidates her best efforts. Jess strives to find ideal opportunities for her candidates while addressing her clients’ hiring needs with leading professionals in the industry.
A former Captain in the United States Army, Jess was a Lucas Group JMO (Junior Military Officer) Candidate and has experienced what it’s like to be on the candidate side of the recruiting process. Away from work, she enjoys being in the great outdoors of Colorado, travelling home to visit family in upstate New York as well as spending time with her husband, daughter and dogs. Jessica holds a B.A. in Communication from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
