Valerie Vincent Taylor joined Lucas Group in 2013, bringing nearly two decades of recruiting experience with her. Throughout her tenure in the industry, she has established herself as a “must know” in recruiting and has built an exceptional network and database of quality connections that aid in her success. She is viewed as an expert Human Resources search partner and has led numerous retained, contained and contingent top level HR searches. Valerie has promoted twice at Lucas Group, and is now an Executive Senior Partner.

Prior to recruiting, Valerie worked in the software industry where she was an individual contributor as well as a manager with a staff of close to 50 associates. With experience in hiring and talent acquisition, she transitioned to technical recruiting in 1995, joining PeopleWare Staffing as a Senior Account Manager and remained there for the next 18 years. While at PeopleWare, Valerie secured startup clients and established firms, providing qualified candidates, handled niche sourcing, conducted interviews and provided on-site management for various clients. With a track record of success, she eventually left the firm to join Lucas Group, focusing on HR executive search.

With a keen eye for identifying talent and knack for building teams, Valerie transitioned to Lucas Group as a Senior Executive Search Consultant in the Human Resources Division, specializing in placing top HR talent in a wide variety of industries throughout the West Coast. At the firm, she strives to develop strong relationships with clients who require specialized searches for candidates who meet their specific skill sets. She has been a top biller in the Human Resources division, and consistently is a President’s Club and Sales Trip winner. A natural at mentoring, Valerie enjoys counseling her candidates, connecting them to ideal opportunities and leaving both the candidate and client pleased with the outcome. She is a recognized go-to internal mentor at Lucas Group for the HR practice.

Valerie has authored several white papers and blogs on HR best practices, represents Lucas Group Human Resources at local California HR Conferences as well as national SHRM conferences.

Having come from a political family, Valerie is involved in statewide politics and maintains a large political network of contacts. In her free time, she enjoys food and wine events, is an avid sports fan and fantasy football player and is active in a social- and travel-based book club.
