Colin Corbin uses these challenges as opportunities to expertly pair top military talent with leading employers, yielding mutually-beneficial, long-term placements.
Colin joined Lucas Group in 2018 as an Executive Search Consultant in the Military practice group. Reliable, tenacious and driven, he enjoys helping to make his candidates’ lives better by finding ideal civilian positions where they can thrive, while helping his clients achieve great organizational success. A veteran himself, Colin understands the challenge of transitioning out of the military and is able to effectively translate military candidates’ skills to employers, demonstrating the immense value that they can bring to an organization.
From 2000-2008, Colin was active in the U.S. Navy and remains active in the U.S. Naval Reserves where he is the Senior Enlisted Leader of his unit of 23 people. After leaving the military, he worked multiple sales jobs for Home Advisor, Hitachi Data Systems Solutions and DME Forensics, among others. While at Tech Data, Colin took a book of accounts from $750,000 to $1.5 million, showing his ability to perform as both an individual and as a collaborator with his team. Wanting to have a hand in helping like-minded military veterans advance their careers, Colin later decided to join the Lucas Group team, where he feels like he has found his professional home.
Away from the office, Colin enjoys spending time with his family and twins as well as traveling, trying new foods and enjoying great wines—he even has a 200-bottle wine cellar. He holds a B.S. in business with a minor in marketing from Columbia College in Missouri.
