A 23-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, Keith Higgs diligently works to make the move to a civilian career smooth and successful for all of his military candidates.
Keith came to Lucas Group in 2018 as a Senior Executive Search Consultant in the Military practice. In his role, he enjoys the personal connections that he is able to make with veterans every day. Having been in the “people” industry for a large part of his life, he uses his experience in leading, training and recruiting to help assist veterans with their transition to a civilian career. Similarly, he finds great reward in connecting military candidates to great career opportunities and addressing his clients’ needs with transcendent military talent.
Before joining the Lucas Group team, Keith spent more than 20 years in Human Resources, talent planning and development, succession planning and labor relations. Throughout this time, he managed a $600M asset acquisition which involved nearly three months of intense due diligence to restaff more than 500 positions. Keith’s blended background of HR operations and leadership along with recruiting for the past 15 years gives him a diverse and experienced approach to finding the right talent matches that create value for his clients and the military candidates he represents.
Keith holds a B.S. in Healthcare Administration from Southern Illinois University. During his time in the Navy, he was part of a humanitarian mission in 2001 called Operation Arctic Care, where he went to remote villages on the tundra of Alaska to deliver medical and dental care as well as engineering services. An avid golfer, he enjoys spending time with his family, dog and never misses a University of Georgia Bulldogs game.
