Mark Sanborn appreciates being allowed a look into the inner workings of companies and helping them achieve their talent acquisition goals in a business world that is increasingly dependent on human capital. As a Senior Partner at Lucas Group, Mark works with leading manufacturing companies and top manufacturing talent to form mutually-beneficial relationships throughout many industries including aerospace, defense, automotive and machinery. His work ethic and drive to succeed consistently force him to challenge the status quo to ensure positive outcomes for both his clients and candidates.
From 2005-2013, Mark served as a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer where he was in charge of a Weapons/Combat Systems Department on the USS Germantown and was also responsible of the Engineering Department on the USS Antietam. He was also Operations Manager for Mobile Security Squadron 3, a Naval Coastal Security Unit, all based in San Diego. He then spent nearly three years as a Regional Sales Manager and Account Executive at Orion International, leading six account executives in a $5M sales district on the West Coast. Mark’s experience both in the military and in recruiting give him a unique, strategic perspective of the job market that he is able to pass on to his clients and candidates.
Mark holds a BS in Management and Technology from the Lally School of Business at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He is also involved with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, an organization that promotes cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers.
