The most successful recruiters are hardworking, personable and responsive—three traits that help lead to a track record of continued success. Throughout his tenure in recruiting, Jershuntas “Shun” Webber has discovered a sense of resiliency and determination within himself that he never knew existed. He channels that drive into making exceptional placements for his candidates that yield long-term success for them as well as his clients.
Prior to Lucas Group, Shun spent six years in public accounting before making the transition to recruiting. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he enjoys being able to run his recruiting desk as if it is his own company and that his success is dictated by his own efforts. By taking a very personal approach to recruiting, Shun tries to understand the deep, motivating factors that drive his candidates’ searches by getting to know them on a professional and personal level. He also utilizes his knowledge of accounting and the local job market to understand his clients’ pain points and solve their staffing issues.
An avid piano and guitar player, Shun enjoys cooking in his free time as well as remains active in his college fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, Inc. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Accountants. Shun holds bachelor degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
