With an impressive career in financial services sales, Steve Yi brings a unique perspective and a wealth of sales insight to the Lucas Group team. As a Senior Partner in the Manufacturing division, he diligently works to match leading professionals in the industry with exceptional positions in mid-tier to Fortune 500 corporations. By using his vast network and relationship-building abilities, Steve is able to consistently find transcendent talent to improve business operations and bottom lines. Passionate about helping others advance their careers, Steve works with a genuine desire to place professionals in the right position with the right employer.
Prior to recruiting, Steve worked as a Financial Advisor and Consultant for more than 14 years. During this time, he facilitated the implementation of financial service solutions at both Merrill Lynch and Charles Schwab providing a consultative approach to helping others reach their long-term goals. He enjoyed guiding his clients to make strategic financial decisions; however, seeing the results and enjoying the satisfaction of a job well done often took a year or more. Wanting to continue to help others but with more immediate results, Steve transitioned to executive recruiting in 2014. His experience, combined with his tenacity and determination, has allowed him to quickly make his mark in recruiting and lay a solid foundation for future success.
Steve holds a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from the S.G. Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at California State University-Fullerton as well as an MBA from the Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University. An Orange County native, he spends his free time with his wife Caroline, daughter Callie, and three sons Matthew, William and Maverick. When he’s not at the football field watching his sons play, he enjoys relaxing on Coronado beach with his family.
