Sam D. Smith will develop strategies to accelerate growth and expansion of firm

Atlanta, GA—March 26, 2020— Lucas Group, ranked sixth on Forbes’ Best Professional Recruiting Firms list for 2019, announced that Sam D. Smith will join the firm as Vice President of Strategic Sales for the Information Technology Division. Mr. Smith brings a notable background of transforming staffing markets with a relationship-driven approach to technology placements.

“Sam will work as an advocate for Lucas Group’s Technology Divisions to establish contract staffing revenue streams throughout the firm,” said David Armendariz, General Manager of the Information Technology Division. “He will lead the strategic sales, client development and client retention strategies, while optimizing operational efficiency.”

Along with executing the strategy for the Technology Contract Staffing Division, Smith will develop and document key processes and proactively manage a strategic account planning process to meet the company’s performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones.

“I’m excited to work with a team of leaders and consultative sales professionals who will drive the execution, delivery and operational strategies at the market level,” said Smith. “The experience I bring to the table will help support them in establishing meaningful, professional relationships with key clients and candidates.”

Prior to joining Lucas Group, Smith was the President and Cofounder of two technology staffing firms, CLICK IT Staffing and PCS Group. He transformed the Midwestern staffing market by opening C-suite doors to build meaningful, long-term business relationships. He also served as the Market Vice President at Kforce Professional Staffing, driving 11.3% YOY growth and 16 years of sustained profitability.
Smith is a former task force chair and current executive committee member of the Health Enterprise Network (HEN), a top investor and trustee of Greater Louisville, Inc. and an alumnus of the Leadership Louisville Center.
