Tom has been instrumental in some of Washington, D.C.'s largest practice group transactions and law firm mergers. Prior to joining Lucas Group, Tom was a principal of The Williamson Group, a ground-breaking legal search firm, where he was head of the firm's merger and practice group division. The Williamson Group merged with Lucas Group in 2005.
Tom also was a founding partner, president and chief operating officer of The JHM Group, an affiliate of the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company that specialized in creating and managing asset-based securities. He practiced law in the areas of real estate securities and finance from 1978 to 1985. Tom received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and J.D. from Washington University School of Law, where he was Articles Editor of the law review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
