For more than 13 years, Tom Bradshaw worked in international manufacturing and supply chain services for two of the world’s most famous brands. From Hong Kong and New Zealand to Thailand and the Czech Republic, he’s negotiated contracts and hired scores of talented professionals. He considers the managerial dynamics of every company to better understand if they are open or top-down, employee-focused or leadership-centric, quarter-by-quarter managers or executives focused on the long-term. Tom initiates site visits as frequently as possible and familiarizes himself with multiple people in the organization. The broader the perspective; the more effective his recruitment.
He invests equal energy level into likely candidates, differentiating technical competence from more subjective traits. Such analysis requires far more than online research. He conducts his own candidate interviews and listens for passion, personality, flexibility, and leadership potential. He ensures that people he recommends to his client fit their strategic objectives and company culture. Often, those subjective determinants separate one candidate from the many who may fit the technical requirements. Ultimately he seeks to provide his client with someone who can drive strategic success and create for the right candidate the opportunity to engage a truly life-changing experience.
Tom increasingly focuses on key sectors within manufacturing, including placing Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers of Manufacturing and Environmental Health and Safety, and Global Sourcing/Procurement. His international business experience also drives his passions outside of recruiting. Tom and his wife are avid fans of another intrepid food traveler—Anthony Bourdain—and are themselves enthusiastic travelers and foodies.
