Having a background as both a consultant and as a recruiter gives Chris Abrams a unique perspective on the industry that he is able to offer to his clients and candidates. He utilizes that perspective daily to truly understand the needs of both his customers and his consultants to create win-win partnerships.
In 2019, Lucas Group tapped Chris to be Managing Partner of the Human Resources practice for the Nashville office. In his role, he runs a full recruiting desk while also leading a growing, experienced team of impeccable recruiters. Chris enjoys helping candidates find the next step in their careers and helping to open doors that they may not have been able to on their own. He also appreciates having the opportunity to mentor others internally and watch people enhance their careers. A Nashville native, Chris has built a robust networking circle that he is able to leverage in order to consistently make long-term, successful placements.
Chris joined Lucas Group with more than 15 years of experience in staffing and executive search. Throughout his career, he has trained, mentored and promoted more than 100 recruiters and more than 60 salespersons. He also developed training curricula for both recruiters and account managers to educate team members on various market trends. From small companies to Fortune 500 corporations, Chris understands what his clients are looking for and addresses their hiring needs with high-caliber, transcendent HR talent.
Always up for an adventure, Chris enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding and rock climbing and is also a skydiving instructor. He volunteers with the Veterans Adventure Club, which helps military men and women cope with PTSD and other challenges. Chris holds B.S. in management information systems from Tennessee Technological University.
