Patrick Byrne prides himself in not only learning what each candidate has done in his or her professional career but more importantly what each of them wants to do next. Unlike many recruiters who only work to determine whether or not a candidate is a fit for a specific job, Patrick takes time to understand what that particular individual is interested in so he can potentially connect with them in the future. This genuine desire to assist professionals in finding the right career move leads to long-term relationships and successful placements.
Patrick joined Lucas Group in 2016 in the Manufacturing practice group specializing in engineering roles. He partners with mid-tier to Fortune 500 clients to help them find the engineering and manufacturing leadership they need who can help them drive their businesses and corporate cultures in today’s competitive economic environment. With a strong belief in doing right by his candidates and clients, Patrick never pressures either party into business and career decisions if he would not advise his family or friends to do the same.
Prior to joining Lucas Group, Patrick spent more than five years in recruiting doing a mix of contract and direct hire placements for primarily engineering but also IT, business, HR and food science roles. At three of his previous companies, he was the top recruiter in terms of revenue/profit and also built a team of direct hire recruiters for a company; the team surpassed its yearly target goal within six months.
A music aficionado, Patrick sees on average 120 bands per year at various music festivals throughout the country. He also enjoys cheering for the Blackhawks, Bears and White Sox as well as volunteering with St. Jude and other local organizations. Patrick holds a B.S. in Marketing from NIU with a certificate in Professional Sales.
