Our clients in major industries, from health care to defense, energy, aviation, manufacturing, engineering, oil and gas and many others, look to us for IT/OT cybersecurity administrators, analysts, engineers, directors, architects, managers and researchers. Roles and responsibilities vary based on a company’s IT infrastructure and initiatives in integrating cybersecurity into their IT and OT business models.
The roles we fill are responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that help ensure safety and security across the IT and OT enterprise, increasing resilience, and maintaining system availability across operating environments. Responsibilities can include the development of an IT/OT security architecture, along with advanced solutions that protect IT data and access to OT systems with common governance and centrally managed data and resources.
These roles develop and manage programs surrounding IT/OT system access controls and credentials, protocol intrusion and detection tools and systems, vulnerability and security patches, and cybersecurity assessments and audits for ongoing improvements. Enforcement of IT/OT security policies and procedures, both internally and with external technology partners, is an essential function. Given the constant evolution of threats, training and awareness programs for other IT and company personnel are also critical.
A bachelor’s degree is required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Network Administration. Emphasis or courses in a related field, such as Cybersecurity or Cyber Policy, are a plus. Some employers prefer advanced degrees. Three to five years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role is also required, and most employers prefer candidates with one or more relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, CompTIA, SSCP, CISM, CRISC and others.
