Our client, a successful Private Equity firm based in Houston, has engaged Lucas Group to identify an Assistant Controller. This role will be responsible for diverse responsibilities in managing the firm’s accounting and treasury functions. This role will require an individual who has excellent communication across all levels of an organization, is motivated and flexible.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with oversight of 3rd party service providers
  • Reviewing / updating current accounting and treasury policies and procedures
  • Assisting with treasury functions of the Company and Fund Vehicles
  • Preparation of various regular reports to investors and managing partners
  • Assisting with quarterly valuations of Fund investments
  • Coordination and review of tax returns and schedule K-1s
  • Performing various due diligence activities for transactions and working with Portfolio Companies on their internal controls and reporting
  • Supporting investor relations activities

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years
  • CPA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Fund or Real Estate experience a plus
