Our Client is a leading sales, marketing, engineering and distribution company of towing products and truck accessories for all types of vehicles, from passenger cars to commercial trucks. They are a team of more than 1,000 associates world-wide, with manufacturing plants in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Florida, and 12 regional warehouses across the United States and Canada. They are looking for a great HRIS, Payroll and Benefits Analyst to join their Dallas, TX team! 

The Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Analyst will assist in administering benefits programs, maintaining benefits records, making design changes to the HRIS system, submit and monitor payroll processes,  as well as assist with various special projects within the HR function.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Analyst position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure all benefits enrollments in the HRIS and in vendor systems are accurate
  • Assist in payroll process and monitoring of the systems
  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data
  • Assist associates regarding benefits claim issues, payroll related issues and plan changes
  • Support all benefits enrollment materials, help with determines eligibility, process new programs and changes
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and associates on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Support the administer for leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork including medical, personal, disability and FMLA
  • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
  • Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and associates relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
  • Assist with the open enrollment process
  • Administer all reimbursement programs
  • Maintain and protect confidential information
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Act as HRIS super user and trainer for the HR team and  associates
  • Research and resolve HRIS issues
  • Process accurate and timely reporting when necessary
  • Reconcile benefits invoices
  • Support other HR functions as backup when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: 2 – 4  years’ experience in payroll and benefits processing within a human resources department; strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Education: BS or BA in related field or equivalent experience
  • Computer Skills: Prior experience working with HRIS systems; proficient in Microsoft office Excel skills
  • Organization Skills: Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally with the accounting department and other departments; provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Communication Skills: Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information; ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal skills
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:  Ability to read, write, type and sit for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day
  • Physical Environment:  Normal office environment; potential of exposure to moving equipment, if proper safety procedures are not followed 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education: Human Resources specialty certification (ex: PHR, CEBS, CCP, CBP)

Computer Skills: Prior experience working with ADP Workforce Now; expert in Microsoft Excel
